Art Courses
Join us at Finca Las Tobas for a relaxed and enjoyable art holiday or creative break. You may be an absolute beginner and want some basic drawing, painting or sculpting classes, or you may be an accomplished artist wanting to experiment further or in another medium. Through texture, colour and form, we encourage you to find your own artistic abilities and draw out what is individual about you and your creativity. Our courses are designed to benefit and inspire all.
Those looking for a unique holiday, something different for a group adventure, a singles holiday, or an activity holiday with a partner or friend, will find this the best experience.
These are adult holidays with a difference, where you can relax, explore, learn something new, be inspired and make new friends.
One Week Art Workshops
Choose from Painting Classes, Sculpting Classes and Land Art Tuition
Group size
Each art course has up to 8 participants, and a minimum of 3.
Alone or together, bringing guests
Many guests come alone (and share a villa with other participants), but the courses are also ideal to enjoy with friends, family or couples. Not everyone has to take part in the tuition of course as there are so many activities to enjoy, such as hiking, bird-watching, horse-riding and exploring nearby villages.
Studio or Outdoors
Depending on the season and course, we paint either in the studio, outdoors on the private estate, or in the surrounding villages, hills and valleys.
Local subject matter and inspirations range from wonderful landscapes; hills, woodlands and meadows, rustic farms with dry-stone walls and ancient water-holes, to white-washed villages; cobbled streets, storks nesting on churches, flower filled balconies and shady doorways. The seasonal skies and colours give a varied aspect, along with the texture of rock and boulder, olive and oak wood, wild flowers, fruits and fungi.
This delightful area is a declared nature reserve, and is one of the biggest forest extensions in Europe. The region has a very low population density with 29 villages of an extraordinary beauty. Many of them have been declared Historic-Artistic due to the exceptional grade of preservation in the buildings and cobbled streets. The area is a favourite for specialist walking and activity holiday groups.
For unique experiences and inspirations, visit nearby Aracena’s spectacular cave system, the surreal opencast mines of Rio Tinto, and of course the artistic capital and UNESCO World Heritage site, Seville. All are key attractions for many adventure travel trips, and for those looking for something different in their European holiday.
